Even after the worst storms... the sun will shine again.

Don’t give others the power to choose for you, trust the truth in your heart to be your guide.

About Catherine Nyika

Hi, I’m Catherine Nyika, founder of The Inner Shine Clinic in Bondi Junction, Sydney.

At the heart of my work is a deep belief that every person already carries the wisdom and capacity to heal within themselves. Sometimes we simply lose sight of it when life becomes overwhelming, relationships become painful, or anxiety and self-doubt take hold.

My role is not to “fix” you.
It’s to help you reconnect with the strength, clarity and inner guidance that have always been there.

My Approach

Over the past decade I’ve worked with thousands of individuals, couples, teenagers and families navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm and complex relationship challenges.

What I’ve learned through this work is that many of the struggles we face — whether anxiety, burnout or relationship difficulties — are often rooted in deeper emotional and nervous system patterns.

These patterns shape how we think, feel and relate to others.

Through a combination of counselling, nervous system awareness and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT tapping), I help clients gently understand and transform these patterns so that lasting change becomes possible.

This work has evolved into what I now call the From Loop to Love™ framework — a pathway that helps people recognise unconscious relationship loops, rebuild self-worth and create healthier, more secure connections.

Professional Background

I am a Clinical Social Worker and Holistic Counsellor with extensive experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges.

My professional training includes:

I have also been invited to share my expertise internationally as a speaker on anxiety and emotional wellbeing, including presenting at the The Tapping World Summit.

You may also find my tapping content featured on the women’s wellness platform Moody.

My Work With Clients

Clients often describe my approach as deeply intuitive, compassionate and practical.

I believe real transformation happens when people feel safe enough to explore their experiences without judgement, while also gaining tools that empower them to move forward with confidence.

When we work together, you can expect:

• deep listening and compassionate support
• practical tools to regulate anxiety and emotional overwhelm
• insight into the patterns shaping your relationships
• guidance in reconnecting with your self-worth and inner strength

My intention is always to create a safe, grounded and supportive space where meaningful change can begin.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside of my work, I’m also a proud mum raising three incredible children — two teenagers, and a neurodiverse tween — who continue to teach me some of life’s most profound lessons about patience, resilience, love and thinking “outside of the box”.

Being a parent has deepened my understanding of relationships, emotional development and the importance of nurturing both ourselves and those we care about.

A Space for Healing and Growth

Whether you are navigating anxiety, feeling stuck in repeating relationship patterns, or simply sensing that life could feel more aligned and fulfilling, you are not alone.

Sometimes all it takes is the right support, the right tools and a safe place to begin again.

It would be an honour to walk alongside you on that journey.
